Restaurant Review: Chomlomg Mangsawirat ( BKK , Thailand)
The first restaurant review is about Chomlong Mangsawirat (The Vegetarian Society), close the the Weekend Market in Bangkok. This restaurant is from the Santi Asoke people, a Buddhist sect , founded in 1975, which teaches self sufficiency, sustainability, organic farming and recycling.
Chomlong Mangsawirat is a food court with about 20 small shops. All vegetables are from the organic Santi Asoke farms, and some dishes have a little bit sugar and or milk, but the shop owner always know, so you just have to ask.
You can have a decent meal for about 40 THB (1,20 USD).
They are only open on Saturday and Sunday from 08.00 to 12.00, since they follow a religious edict not to eat in the afternoon.
Just next to it is a health food minimart, where you can buy your rice, beans, seasalt, seaweeds etc...

Is this Chatuchak?
Do you have a link for a map?
Hi Bill
Yes indeed, the restaurant is about 100 meters fro MRT Kampaengphet, but sorry, no map available and every time I go there I have to ask around as it is in a small soi somewhere.
