a diet is just a way of eating.
If you eat every day Mc Donalds, that is a diet too, but a bad one, if you have seen the movie "Supersize Me" , you know what I mean :P

perhaps a bit more explanation: every year in February I change diet:
my normal diet is Yin MB as I live in a tropical country, and in February I change to a more Yang diet, eating 99% inhouse (vegan), drinking water on room temperature, Rejuvelac, or homemade carrot juice with turmeric and lemon juice,eating more pickled veggies as usual, more rice in % , all this to clean my body Yes indeed, whatever way you eat, your body needs cleaning . I feel the difference and most of all , I feel the detox: every morning I have a bad taste in my mouth, so I am happy with the signs .

there are a lot of ways to good health:
here some rules
1) less meat, pork and animal products in general
2) more whole cereals ( I eat every day brown rice)
3) no sugar,no maltitol, no refined products.
4) fresh vegetables, cooked, fried or pickled
5) a minimum of exercise
all the rest depends on your actual condition and constitution

DIET is To eat according to prescribed rules.
In my opinion diet is to eat balanced diet which contain protein,minerals vitamins and also some amount of fat.
I feel that diet is about healthy eating habits that definitely helps stay fit and in shape. Proper and balanced intake of nutrition is the main concern of a diet regime.
and sometimes fasting is good too, to give the body time to eliminate toxins
Ideal healthy diet menu includes having short meal breaks of 4-5 times in day with regular intervals of 3-4 hours. The intake of food which you take varies from person to person according to calorie requirement of each person.
One should start the day with healthy breakfast; it is very important part of your diet. Don’t skip your breakfast. Breakfast should be heavy and full of nutritive values. Substantial breakfast gives energy which keeps you cheerful for the rest of the day.
Your lunch should be in medium amount not too much heavy or not too much light. Limit the quantity of food you eat in the night. You should take very light food in your dinner. Including salads and juice in your dinner will be good option.
