It's true, if you eat better you'll have less cravings. A good way to do it is also to get out of the situations that would more likely make you smoke. For example, when you wake up, brush your teeth immediately. That morning breath usually triggers a conditioned craving to smoke. After eating, brush, or drink a powerful citrus drink like cranberry juice or something to put a strong new taste into your mouth that will make smoking undesirable. Avoid drinking alcohol, coffee, tea, etc...things that you usually smoke while you drink them (also avoid any kind of illegal drug that would heighten your craving).
